Why cellar software belongs in the browser.
Traditional cellar software was installed on a computer, with a data file stored somewhere on the drive. It worked well enough, until the computer changed, the file was lost, or you simply didn't want to leave the cellar just to log a bottle. Many enthusiasts then went back to spreadsheets, which share the same flaws along with a few others.
Tannin takes the opposite approach. There is nothing to install or update: you open an address, and you are in your cellar. On your computer, you have a large table to sort, filter, search, and import. On your phone, you see your racks directly, along with label scanning and plain-language updates. Same cellar, same second.
Your data is saved online, safe from hard drive failure or water damage affecting both your home and your cellar. And it remains yours: a full CSV export is available at any time, whatever your plan.

I'm coming from an old cellar program, how do I migrate?
Export your data to Excel or CSV from your program, then import the file into Tannin. If exporting is not possible, photograph your labels: AI fills in the entries.
